Our company was founded in 1995 after a meeting between Italian and foreign professionals with interdisciplinary training. It was observed that it was very rare to find companies in Italy who were able to adequately unite scientific research methods of new protective products for the construction sector, with the knowledge of application problems and with the controls of the product’s environmental impact. These ideas gave life to a company that could operate with success in all above. That is how AEDILIA S.r.l. was born.
We immediately started with a new way of operating: collecting information, giving information, making aware, promoting products and training sales operators and users. It was a difficult task for a new company because it was contrary to the Italian market reality of those years: the environmental sensitivity was at the beginning, in the construction sector; only some people knew how to properly interpret the information on a safety data sheet (many didn’t knew the necessity of that paper, and still now is quite the same) and only some people knew how to choose the right solutions at the right price. “The service to the customers” had to be the top priority in products supplies.
We were even considered to be too much innovative at the time. Only some people were interested in our method: the only important thing for customers was the product image, not what we could guarantee.
Mixing together patience – often referred to as a female virtue (our two founders) - and stubbornness, a male value (our technicians), in addition to the typical personality of the people from Emilia (Italy), plus Swiss precision, and that infamous Italian-American enthusiasm (just a bit braggart) at the end, in 1999, you got... HDG Srl!
The incoming of new partners confirmed us, that the initial project of an innovative company had to be consolidated and the province of Parma was a place more than ever strategically interesting for the company.
The coming of the EURO and the impact of Basel Convention on enterprise system led us to make a series of changes in the company, both on human resources and technological innovation.
To reach our set aims, a new integrated system of communications and management control was included in our company. This system was able to connect the management-sales headquarters with branches and structures (in Italy and abroad), a Research and Development laboratory and new technological production plants. The company, which took on the new name HDG S.r.l, kept the name "AEDILIA" only for ownership brands. In the same level there are the already consolidated name of "A&T" (low impact environmental products) and the new "Ingeo". The different brands had the aim of enlarging and giving life to new support activities to the "core business" company.
In 2001, the new professionalism and the intensive use of new technologies laid the foundations for development of synergistic actions with other business realities.
Our company never stopped the constant innovation of its products, in order to improve performances and environmental impact.
In 2002, we were a team of young professionals (the mean age in the company is 32 years old), who were highly motivated, aware of the company mission and determined to support our own Ethics Manifest. During that same year, we designed new products with very low environmental impact, which were destined to influence many industrials areas, finally resolving many problems related to wood, stone and cement conglomerates.
So in 2003 we proposed at the stone industry our new products with low environmental impact (like water-oil repellent for pre-treatment of stone for interiors and exteriors); we also engineered their industrial application. We proposed at the wood industry new impregnants: very easy to use, biodegradable and with high performance (water-repellence and durability). Our products didn’t change wood naturalness. In the same year we obtained the certification of our industrial processes according to UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 with the partner TÜV Italia.
2007 Our innovative march doesn’t stop, because we feel the necessity of research! We always want to innovate and we decide to certify our products (start in 2006). We want to improve our customers’ service area with our new CRM services.
2008 - Caress the idea of building a new plant (laboratories, training center, production and logistics): to be an innovative low environmental impact, almost entirely made of wood. We're inventing day by day: rise on the initial area of 7,500 square meters, within the zone for industrial sites CORTE SALA.
2009 - In July we have renewed our Quality System, according to norm UNI EN ISO 9001:2008.
