I have to treat about 30 m2 of an old oak wood flooring with LIGNUM AT. I would like to give it a light walnut colour, is it possible to colour Lignum AT? Which kind of  colours can I use?
Even if it’s possible it isn’t useful because LIGNUM AT deep penetration in wood (due to its special formula) and you wouldn’t obtain the desired effect. The proper way to proceed (especially in a wood flooring) is:
a. apply LIGNUM AT;
b. about 48 hours and only when Lignum AT is dry, apply the coloured LIGNUM HYDROMIL, in one layer , choosing between the 24 available colours;
c. when the floor is completely dry, apply LIGNUM NATUREoil in one layer, spreading it in a very fine layer;
d. and after 48 hours enjoy your flooring!
I would like to recover the old tile flooring of a rural home that I have just bought. They are rectangular, flat tiles without any depressions, but they have reddened over the years. How can I remove this colouring without damaging the tile? I don’t want to polish the flooring!
You don’t need to polish the flooring: the red colour which you are referring that could be the old ochre, or a recent coat with synthetic resins or waxes . In both cases, we recommend:
a. a deep washing with LITHOS DETERALCALE forcefully rubbing with a black or brown abrasive pad (the colour indicates the level of abrasive power) until forming a foam with the reddish- brown colour of the film ;
b. only if you are equipped with a suitable liquid aspirator you can remove the reddish foam, in alternative you can quickly sponge the reddish foam;
c. repeat the washing, if necessary, until to obtain the original tile surface;
d. neutralize with a weakly acidic rinse (10 parts water + 1 part of LITHOS DETERACIDO) and dry well, without leave halos;
e.proceed with protective treatment or  finishing; for a anti- stain protection treatment we recommend LITHOS OVERALL and as finishing is best to use a liquid wax (for a polished finish useLITHOS IDROFIX-L, and for an opaque one use LITHOS IDROFIX-O) to prevent the dust formation and to allow an easy cleaning.
