Do you want to create a pleasant environment with colours that make you feel immersed in nature every day? Then we advise you to read on, because this article on the colours of Lignum Terradilegno could be the one for you!
Although colour therapy is not a scientifically recognised discipline, there is no denying that there are colours that are more pleasing to our eyes and from which we can benefit on a humoral level.
So why can't we give a touch of colour to both home and work environments to make the days spent inside more pleasant? With wood stains, for example, it is possible to colour the wood of which roofs, floors, furniture or window frames are made.
Generally speaking, some people prefer to use a wood colour reminiscent of a wood species, such as the classic light walnut, chestnut, mahogany or cherry, and others like to be daring, choosing unconventional colours such as light blue, purple, yellow or green. In between these two macro strands are all the colour experiments that have taken place in the past and continue to take place today, also thanks to the design and fashion sectors, with which there is a continuous comparison and mutual influence.
Thinking of our Earth, we decided to create a range of colours for wood that would pay homage to it. Thus was born the water-based coloured wood stain Lignum Terradilegno, which can be used both as a primer and as a top coat for surfaces that are not directly exposed to the weather. If the wood is to be placed outdoors, a finishing coat with a colourless wood stain, such as Lignum Hydromil, is recommended.
The product has good covering power, but is still able to enhance the wood grain even with just one coat. The standard colours of Lignum Terradilegno are Anthracite, Clay, Dolomite, Mud, Lichen, Mauve, Ochre and Sand, as we show you in the following video.
What do we mean by 'infinite colours'? Lignum Terradilegno's standard colours are currently only 8, but we can also create colours from RAL and NCS folders according to specific requests.
It is also possible to create plays of colour by overlapping two different shades.
An example? The boards you see below underwent an initial brushing, followed by the application of one colour. When the surface was dry, a second colour was applied. Again, when the surface was dry, a second very light brushing was done, which slightly removed the more superficial colour, bringing out the background colour. Et voila, here is the result!
First coat: Lignum Terradilegno Mud. Second coat: Lignum Terradilegno Sand.
First coat: Lignum Terradilegno Anthracite. Second coat: Lignum Terradilegno Dolomite.
First coat: Lignum Terradilegno Lichen. Second coat: Lignum Terradilegno Anthracite.
First coat: Lignum Terradilegno Ochre. Second coat: Lignum Terradilegno Dolomite.
With Lignum Terradilegno you can have fun and play with your creativity! If you haven't tried it yet, what are you waiting for?
