The features of Lignum Hydromil Larch
This larch wood stain with wax is perfect for:
- Structures
- Furniture
- Window frames
- Bridges and nautical jetties
- Frames
- Gazebos, fences, planters and benches
- Floors
- Wooden artefacts and objects
Lignum Hydromil Larch protects the wood from weathering by reducing dimensional variations, while leaving it vapour permeable and thus increasing its durability. Excellent aesthetic quality with just one coat: the waxy finish enhances the natural beauty of the wood and makes it soft to the touch.
The product creates no bleaching or greying of the surface, not even near knots, and it colours the fibre without creating a surface film. It is easily and quickly applied to any wood species. The coloured versions have good UV resistance.
Due to the fact that it is a wood stain, there is no need to sand the surface after application or when carrying out periodic maintenance.
Lignum Hydromil Larch is resistant to chlorine-containing water vapours (swimming pools) and to attack from both saline (sea salt) and acidic solutions. It inhibits the adhesion of mortar and concrete on wood and facilitates the removal of residues (splashes, drips, etc.) from surfaces. It can resist attack by the main lignivorous fungi ( decay fungi and blue stain fungi) even years after application, although it does not contain biocides.
The product is safe for the environment and the operator.
The coverage of Lignum Hydromil is 15-30 m2 with 1 litre of product. The coverage may vary depending on the application method, the wood species treated, the surface texture of the wood and the number of impregnations carried out.
