The features of Lithos Hydrowet
This wet-effect water repellent coating is ideal for porous interior and exterior stone surfaces such as
- Cotto
- Unpolished natural stone
- Cementitious agglomerates
- Plasters
- Fair-faced concrete
- Fair-faced bricks
Lithos Hydrowet penetrates porous materials and enhances the surface, accentuating the original colour and maintaining it over time, without altering the material.
The product can be used for both horizontal and vertical surfaces and has excellent anti-graffiti protection: it facilitates the removal of spray paints, in some cases even without reapplying the product. It leaves the material breathable while maintaining water vapour permeability. It allows the subsequent application of protective waxes (e.g. Lithos Idrofix).
Besides being an excellent water repellent, Lithos Hydrowet also has a basic anti-efflorescence function.
It is water-based, so it reduces working time as it can also be applied on surfaces with residual moisture.
The product is easy to apply and safe for the environment and the operator.
The coverage is variable depending on the material to be treated and the performance required (for anti-graffiti protection, the use of 2 coats is recommended). Under normal conditions of use and for medium-porous surfaces (e.g. terracotta and unpolished stone) a coverage of at least 15 m2 per litre of pure product should be calculated.
