Solvent-based stone sealer Lithos Idrorep

This solvent-based water repellent is ideal for any type of natural or artificial stone surface, in particular

Lithos Idrorep penetrates the material not by occluding the pores, but by making them hydrophobic. The product therefore does not alter the transpiration of the material, nor the shade of the substrate.

It creates a barrier against 'acid rain', reduces efflorescence and the penetration of saline solutions typical of marine locations. It prevents de-icing chemicals, salts or limestones from infiltrating into concrete deck structures, preventing the serious damage that can result. It also reduces soiling by retaining much less particulate within the material.

The product prevents flaking and crumbling of the material that can be caused by freeze/thaw cycles and prevents the formation of mould, algae, fungi, yeasts and bacteria.

It is not subject to wear from friction or trampling and is insensitive to UVA rays.

The amount of product to be used is closely related to the type of material and its porosity. The table in the data sheet gives an indication of the coverage of certain materials. For more information or in case of doubt, please contact our Technical Department.
